Transition to Professional Practice and Nurse as Leader

Catalog description

Prerequisite: TBSN/ABSN: Enrolled in Last Semester of Program; OABSN: None. Corequisite: TBSN: NUR 442 & NUR 462; ABSN/OABSN: None. This course prepares students for entry into professional nursing practice and leadership roles. Emphasis is placed on career planning, professional identity formation, leadership theories, and strategies for effective team management. Students will engage in mock interviews, explore organizational behavior, and apply leadership principles to real-world scenarios. Interprofessional collaboration and evidence-based leadership practices will be integrated throughout the course.
