Nursing Care of Women and Infants Clinical

Catalog description

Prerequisite: Admission to the nursing program or permission of the instructor. Not open to OABSN students. Corequisite: TBSN/ABSN: NUR 431. This clinical course provides hands-on experience in maternal-newborn care across prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn settings. Students will apply family- centered care principles, cultural competence, and evidence-based interventions in real and simulated environments. Shadow Health virtual simulations and high-fidelity scenarios will be integrated to enhance clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
