Catalog description

Prerequisites: Admission to the nursing program or permission of instructor, and NUR 332. Corequisite: NUR 352. This clinical course aligns with the Complex Care of the Aging Adult lecture course. Students will apply theoretical concepts from lecture in acute care, long-term care, and community settings. Emphasis is placed on managing geriatric syndromes, polypharmacy, nutrition, ethical issues, and end-of-life care. High-fidelity simulations and unfolding case studies are integrated to strengthen clinical judgment and interprofessional collaboration.
