Catalog description

Prerequisite: Admission to the nursing program or permission of instructor, and NUR 331. Corequisite: TBSN/ABSN: NUR 352; OABSN: None. This advanced course builds on Pathophysiology and Pharmacology I and II and aligns with Complex Care of the Aging Adult. Students will explore pharmacologic management of complex conditions, including infectious diseases, cardiovascular disorders, neurological conditions, cancer, and immune system dysfunctions. Special topics include pediatric considerations and medication safety during pregnancy. Emphasis is placed on clinical judgment, safe medication administration, and integration of pharmacology into comprehensive care plans for aging adults and special populations.
