Catalog description
Prerequisite: Admission to the nursing program or permission of instructor, and TBSN/ABSN/OABSN: NUR 260. Co-requisite: TBSN/ABSN/OABSN: NUR 333. This concept-based course builds on Adult Health Nursing I and expands on care collaboration and communication while focusing on the care of adults and families experiencing complex health alterations. Students will integrate concepts such as family dynamics, health- wellness - illness and injury, digestion, metabolism, nutrition, and sensory perception. Emphasis is placed on interprofessional collaboration, cultural sensitivity, and evidence-based interventions to promote optimal outcomes for individuals and families across diverse settings.
