Catalog description

Prerequisite: Admission to the nursing program or permission of the instructor. Co-Requisite: TBSN/ABSN/OABSN: NUR 261. This course provides applied learning experiences in healthcare settings and simulation labs to develop foundational skills in adult health nursing. Students will integrate theoretical knowledge from Adult Health Nursing I into clinical practice, focusing on safe, evidence-based care for adults with acute and chronic conditions. Learning occurs through direct patient care, high-fidelity and virtual simulations, and unfolding case studies. Emphasis is placed on clinical judgment, interprofessional collaboration, and patient-centered care aligned with AACN Essentials.
