Nursing Assessment Lab

Catalog description

Prerequisite: Admission to the nursing program or permission of the instructor. Corequisite: TBSN/ABSN: NUR 243. This lab-based course complements the Nursing Assessment theory course by providing students with hands-on practice in performing comprehensive and focused health assessments across the lifespan. Students will develop psychomotor and communication skills necessary to collect accurate health histories and conduct physical examinations using a concept-based approach. Emphasis is placed on safety, cultural sensitivity, clinical judgment, and documentation.
