Catalog description

Prerequisite: Admission to the nursing program or permission of the instructor. Corequisite: TBSN/ABSN: NUR 244; OABSN: NUR 263. This concept-based course introduces students to foundational health assessment skills essential for professional nursing practice. Emphasis is placed on the development of clinical reasoning, communication, and psychomotor skills necessary to perform comprehensive and focused assessments across the adult lifespan. Students will learn to collect, analyze, and document subjective and objective data to inform clinical decision-making.
