Vocal Pedagogy

Catalog description

This course will explore science-based vocal pedagogy grounded on principles of voice production through knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and acoustics of the voice, as well as, and cognition of the voice cognition. It will include exploration of historical pedagogy, exercise physiology and motor learning principles, and vocal health considerations for the voice athlete. Both classical and CCM (Contemporary Commercial Music) genres will be discussed. This class will also address practical studio and practice room application to promote efficient vocal production.
