Catalog description

Prerequisite: Music therapy majors only. Successful completion of MTX 280, MTX 281, MTX 290 or MTX 190, MTX 291, and MTX 271. Co-requisite: MTX 371 or MTX 372; MTX 381 or MTX 382; MTX 395 (during second iteration of MTX 391). This practicum seminar supports students in strengthening their musical, clinical, and professional skills through reflection, case discussion, and peer feedback. Focus areas include clinical musicianship, ethical awareness, and integration of theory with practice. This course must be successfully completed twice with at least a B- (80% average) each time to count toward the music therapy undergraduate degree (or its post-bac equivalent).
