Practicum Competency Exam II

Catalog description

Prerequisites: Successful completion of MTX 371 and MTX 391 (1st iteration). Co-requisites: MTX 382 and MTX 391 (2nd iteration). Practicum Competency Exam II is an evaluation examination designed to assess a student’s applied musical proficiency required for effective clinical practice. The exam measures competence in voice, guitar, piano, and music technology skills. Music therapy majors must earn an “S” (Satisfactory) to proceed to MTX 393 and for this course to count towards the music therapy bachelor’s degree (or its post-bac equivalent).
