Catalog description

Prerequisites: Music therapy major; referral by MTX faculty or competency exam outcomes. This course provides targeted, individualized support to strengthen functional therapeutic musicianship skills. It is designed for music therapy students who need additional development in specific professional competencies (including voice, guitar, piano, or music theory) as identified through prior coursework or competency exam outcomes. Through an individualized study plan, guided practice, and regular instructional meetings, students address specific skill gaps and work toward measurable improvement and competency. The course is graded on a satisfactory/unsatisfactory basis and may be repeated for credit as needed to support student progression in the undergraduate music therapy program.
