Catalog description

Prerequisites: Grades of “C” or better in MTH 286. ESC 250 also accepted with departmental permission. Numerical methods for solutions of ordinary and partial differential equations. Numerical differentiation and integration, Runge-Kutta methods, multi-step methods, and iterative methods for ordinary differential equations. Systems of differential equations and modeling. Introduction to partial differential equations. Course includes use of scientific programming language, such as Python or MATLAB.
