Catalog description

Prerequisite: A grade of `SC’ or better in MTH 87 or suitable placement-test score and permission of Education Advisor. This course is intended for students who will be majoring in elementary education or intervention specialists. A rigorous approach to numbers, operations, algebraic thinking, problem solving, and applications. The course will include the use of appropriate technology for the elementary classroom. Only 4 credit hours of MTH 135 or MTH 137 will count towards the quantitative literacy general education requirement. Students may not receive credit for MTH 137 if they have credit for MTH 135 or MTH 127.
