Catalog description

Prerequisite: MKT 301. This course is about the application of statistical (and related data science) methods to data and procedures relevant to marketing, i.e., this course is about applied marketing data analytics. It is an introductory yet challenging, hands-on, applied course in which you will learn how to apply statistical techniques that are relevant to Marketing. In this context, the term “Applied” means that this course provides and educates students about data analysis tools that will help make marketing decisions in real-world settings. The course will be based mainly on using R. The course will be taking an applied route - the focus will not be on presenting theories in statistics on each of these sets of techniques. Instead, the course will focus on covering only limited-yet-relevant amount of theory of relevant statistical techniques that are relevant to Marketing.
