Catalog description

Prerequisites: MTT 168 or MTH 165 or MTH 167, and PHY 221 or PHY 241. Introductory level statics. Analysis of static equilibrium of trusses and frames including forces in members and joints. Section and mass properties, friction, centroids, moment of inertia, radius of gyration and virtual work. Laboratory work will consist of experiments that reinforce the theory (lectures).
