Healthcare Management Internship

Catalog description

Prerequisites: Junior standing or above. Completion of the Business core with grades of C or higher. Completion of HCA courses HCA 150, HCA 301, HCA 420 and HCA 415 with grades of C or higher. Approved healthcare internship site from Internship coordinator or consent of the Department Chair. This course will require healthcare management majors to be engaged in at least fourteen hours per week at an approved professional healthcare organization site that directs the intern in a specific project or experiences to support the development of healthcare management/administrative professional workforce skills. In addition, the student will gain workforce experiential experiences which will support career goals and interest in the healthcare management and administration field.
