Introduction to Healthcare Management

This course introduces students to the healthcare management industry and specifically offers students options within the healthcare field and potential career directions. Health Care Management provides you with an overview of how health care institutions are organized and governed, the role of the management staff, physicians, nurses and other clinical and support staff in these organizations, and the management systems designed for their efficient and effective operation. The course also emphasizes concepts of accessibility, quality, efficiency, and the effectiveness of medical care. Minimum of a grade of C or higher for all HCM majors.
