Prerequisites: Completion of the Core Curriculum Research & Professional Writing requirement; FRN 301 and sophomore standing or permission from the instructor. This course is a study of the social, economic and cultural history of France since WWII. Beginning with the origins and consequences of the Second World War, focus will be on the major social, political, and cultural events that shaped the characteristics, values, and challenges faced by French society today.
