Catalog description

Prerequisite: Completion of the Core Curriculum Research & Professional Writing requirement; 2.5 GPA or higher; course is not open to Project 60. An overview of the legal and administrative aspects in the sector of physical education, exercise and sport. The legal domain includes court system, liability, intentional torts, contracts, contracts, Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEIA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and selected components of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and risk management. The administrative domain will include organizational theory and management, budgeting, finance, and program planning and evaluation.
