This internship-based course provides students with hands-on experience in peer mentorship for young adults with intellectual disabilities participating in a post-secondary transition program. Through direct engagement, students will develop meaningful relationships with individuals with disabilities, gaining insight into their experiences, strengths, and goals. The course emphasizes disability advocacy, inclusive education, and support services in higher education and community settings.
