Catalog description
Prerequisite: Senior Level or Graduate Level standing in Computer Engineering Program or approval from the instructor. This course addresses the critical need for cybersecurity professionals to gain expertise across several domains to effectively manage these diverse risks. Students will engage in several scenario-based modules that mirror real-world situations in which technical, legal and business professionals are required to work across disciplines and develop effective multi-modal responses. Each module centers on a technical lab where students learn how a major cyberattack functions. Each lab is paired with a set of readings, videos and other exercises where students learn the legal, policy and ethical issues connected to each attack as well as the roles that technical, legal and business professionals play in responding to those attacks and addressing the legal and related risks they raise.
