Catalog description

Prerequisite: Junior or senior standing, or permission of the instructor. This course presents an overview investigating community engagement and collaboration by exploring methods of teaching dance in various educational and community settings. Students will explore the creative process, performance, production, workshop facilitation, and logistical coordination of working with different populations in alternative venues. Emphasis on identifying strategies for working with diverse populations, including dancers of varying physical abilities.
