Catalog description

Prerequisite: CHM 261, CHM 266, and ESC 301. This is a Hybrid course that provides an introduction to environmental engineering issues, legal aspects, engineering solutions, and basic approaches to abatement system design. Topics to be covered include thermodynamics as applicable in Environmental Engineering, water quality, water supply, wastewater treatment systems, air pollution abatement, fate of pollutants, solid wastes, hazardous wastes, hazardous materials management, and environmental impacts.
