Catalog description

Prerequisites: COM 102, COM 225, or consent of instructor. Students are engaged in media production, both multi-camera and single camera. Students will gain skills in both live and taped broadcast productions, including camera operation, audio engineering, technical direction, graphics, basic video editing, and lighting. You will apply these skills to create meaningful and practical story telling content. Over the semester, you will work on productions in a studio in the basement of the Music and Communication building and in the field. You may take this class 2 times, but only 3 credits may count for a major or a minor. Students who take the class a second time will work on more advanced projects.
