Catalog description
Prerequisite: MET 320. The study of temporary structures used to support construction operations include concrete formwork, scaffolding systems, roof protection, bracing/shoring systems, cofferdams, underpinning, slurry walls, and construction dewatering systems. Students learn to evaluate construction damage claims associated with temporary structures. Students learn the need for on-site electrical power as well as other utilities.
