Means and Methods for Mechanical and Electrical Building Systems

Catalog description

Prerequisite: CMG 120. Design concepts of plumbing, HVAC, and electrical and control systems are analyzed for attributes that affect the design and construction processes and the performance of completed structures. The student is introduced to heating, cooling, plumbing, and fire protection systems including aspects of design, construction, estimating, and problem solving as it pertains to building construction. The course also introduces the student to electrical construction that includes material utilization, sound, signal systems, electrical distribution from generation to consumption, terminology, equipment and applications, electrical contract documents and estimating, and electrical project management theory and practice.
