Research Seminar

Catalog description

Prerequisite: Instructor permission. Senior-level, research-oriented students may request permission. Students will be introduced to the current state of biological research by attending a series of research seminars presented by regional guest scientists and managers. Seminars can be from a wide range of biological topics, including cell-molecular biology, evolution, ecology, and environmental sciences. During seminars, students will engage with the speakers by actively listening and asking questions. Students will prepare a series of two-page research summaries about selected speakers’ research.
