Geographic coverage includes Nile Valley, eastern Africa and the Horn of Africa, southern and West Africa, and the central African rain forest. Includes historical analysis of Nubia, Ethiopia, the Swahili, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Mali, Songhay, Asante, Benin, and the Kongo.
