Catalog description

Pre-req: Completion of the Core Curriculum Research & Professional Writing requirement. This course examines the socio-historical and contemporary issues relevant to the African American (Black/African/African diasporic) family. It also offers an in-depth analysis and critique of various sociological, psychological, and historical arguments about the African American family. Lastly, this course utilizes African and African American worldviews to properly understand various aspects of the African American family.
