Catalog description

Prerequisite: ART 211 and one other Foundations (200) level studio art course. This class will build on the introduction to drawing covered in Foundations Drawing. More emphasis will be placed on the use of color. Pastel techniques will be covered in addition to other media including pencil, charcoal, and ink. Advanced investigation of concepts such as contour, gesture, value, texture, proportion, and perspective will be emphasized. Non-representational approaches may also be explored.
