This course will cover topics of statistics and statistical inference with a focus on theory, including discrete and continuous density functions, order statistics, point and interval estimation, maximum likelihood and Bayes’ estimation, hypothesis testing, the Neyman-Pearson lemma, likelihood ratio tests, and other selected topics.
