Catalog description

Compassion Based Spiritual Direction (CBSD) is an approach to companioning others that uniquely integrates 1) compassion practices of spiritual restoration, 2) Internal Family Systems (IFS), and 3) contemplative spiritual direction. This course explores the theoretical foundations for CBSD and trains students in its process of spiritual companionship. Designed for students in the Doctor of Spirituality program, it is also available for chaplains, pastoral counselors, spiritual life coaches, and religious mentors in spiritual companioning relationships with others.
