Catalog description
This course explores the meaning and nature of karma in the Jain religious tradition and focuses on investigating the role karma plays, and traverse in understanding of “ethics.” The course combines primary textual material from the Jain tradition and secondary scholarly literature to offer students opportunities to critically explore the philosophical, ethnographical and “engaged” approach to relate karma—our actions and ethics.
