Catalog description

First in a three-part series. Introduction to the fundamental principles and practice in theatrical costuming techniques. Basic sewing techniques, understanding fabrics, and an overview of how the costume design process works from concept to stage is emphasized. Students learn introductory costume construction and costume design techniques through a series of hands-on projects. May be repeated for up to 6 credits.
