Catalog description

Students will learn basic techniques and processes of metalsmithing, such as sawing, cold connection, soldering, metal inlay, fabrication, forming, surface treatments, and casting. Students will examine and research different cultural and historical small metals and jewelry forms. The focus of this class is the creation of small metal forms. Critiques, discussions and presentations are included in this course.
