A 10-week course on the theory and practice of phlebotomy. Topics include: healthcare systems and terminology, safety and infection control, applied anatomy and physiology for blood collection, proper specimen collection techniques and quality assurance, specimen ordering and processing, and professionalism. Students must successfully complete PBT 100 before progressing into the Phlebotomy Practicum, PBT 180 . Prerequisites: MCH 101 or MCH 104 View Sections
