Catalog description
This course provides an introduction to the basic principles of health psychology. Emphasis is on gaining an understanding of the complex interplay between physical well-being and biological, psychological, and social factors. The course exposes students to the role of psychologists in the ever-changing healthcare setting. As the field grows and continues to value psychologist's unique expertise, students will consume research and review of evidence-based interventions to gain a better understanding of how psychologists can function within medical settings.
