Catalog description
This course is a culminating experience in the MSW program. Through reflective assignments, students will demonstrate the integration of key concepts, theories, practice techniques, policy analysis and research from specialized practice courses into practice with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities. Reflective assignments further the students’ abilities to apply global perspectives and equity practices to achieve social, racial, economic, and environmental justice for clients and communities. This course is also the final course in which practicum hours are embedded, allowing students to bring cases from practicum into their reflections and demonstrate their leadership within agencies to further equity and justice at the organizational level. The remaining courses in the specialized curriculum will be adapted in the following ways to accommodate the new structure. Traditional Option Prerequisite: MSW-541 , MSW-542 , MSW-543 , MSW-544 , MSW-545 , MSW-546 , MSW-547 , MSW-548 , MSW-549 , MSW-552 , MSW-553 and MSW-554 Advanced Standing Option Prerequisite: MSW-547 , MSW-548 , MSW-549 , MSW-552 , MSW-553 , and MSW-554
