Catalog description

This course examines healthcare policies and economics on a national and global scale. General economic principles provide the lens for examining healthcare delivery systems, delivery models, and consumers and providers of healthcare services. Legal, political, regulatory and ethical factors influencing healthcare-delivery and economics are investigated and strategies are proposed for policy development. The influence of nurses in policy making and healthcare advocacy is also emphasized.
