This course analyzes population-level health disparities from local, national, and global perspectives and examines strategies to advance equity and well-being. The complex variables that influence health are investigated in conjunction with frameworks to guide interventions that mitigate risk and optimize outcomes at the aggregate level. Professional competencies, caring strategies, and evidence-informed solutions are identified to protect and promote the health of populations. Implications for advanced nursing practice are explored.
