Catalog description

Prerequisite: SPAN-2 or department-determined equivalency. Spanish 9 survey found here: https://www.chaffey.edu/acc/acd/acd-academic/spani sh.php. This course is designed to improve Spanish comprehension skills and enhance cultural awareness for those students who have a degree of proficiency in Spanish or are heritage speakers. The course promotes a greater awareness of the nuances of the Spanish language through discussions and readings centering on the history, politics, and the society and culture of the Spanish speaking world. The course prepares students to be global citizens through self-reflection and thoughtful exploration of Hispanic cultures and communities in the U.S. and abroad. The course will be conducted in Spanish. Transfer: CSU
