Catalog description
Prerequisite: NURADN-28 and NURADN-29. Other: Course may be taken before or after NURADN-35 but only after successful completion of NURADN-28 and NURADN-29. May not be taken if NURADN-35 has been failed by the student until the course is passed. Students in the LVN-to-ADN pathway or 30 unit LVN option do not take this course. This course provides an integrative, family-centered approach to the care of children. Emphasis is placed on normal growth and development, family dynamics, common pediatric disorders and the promotion of healthy behaviors in patients. Clinical experiences provide the student an opportunity to apply theoretical concepts and implement safe patient care to children in selected settings. Transfer: CSU
