Catalog description
Prerequisite: ITIS-50 (formerly CIS-50) or ITIS-51 (formerly CISCO-1). Note: ITIS-55 replaced CISNTWK-435 beginning with the fall 2026 term. This course will provide a student with the knowledge and skills required to maintain reliable computer systems in a multi-user environment. The student will learn about system hardware, software, storage, best practices, disaster recovery, and troubleshooting, with additional coverage of virtualization, cloud technologies, security, and scalability. Instruction is designed to support preparation for the CompTIA Linux+ certification. Transfer: CSU
