Catalog description
This course provides knowledge of industrial safety practices including industry safety and health standards related to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Students will examine safety issues surrounding installation of electrical and mechanical systems, personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe work practices. Lockout/tagout, confined spaces, workplace hazards, as well as tools of the trade are covered.
