Fashion Draping

Catalog description

Prerequisite: FASHD-40. Introduces the art of draping fabric directly onto a dress form to create three-dimensional garment designs. Students will develop their skills in design and garment construction through hands-on exploration, research, and conceptual development techniques. Emphasis is placed on draping with muslin and apparel textiles, as well as translating draped designs into hard patterns.
