Catalog description
Corequisite: DENTAL-405, DENTAL-425, DENTAL-425L, DENTAL-435, DENTAL-435L, DENTAL-445, and DENTAL-445L. This lab course provides instruction in four-handed dentistry techniques and prepares the student to assist a dentist at chairside. Content includes: identification and management of medical emergencies, principles and procedures of four-handed dentistry, oral evacuation, charting, preparation of anesthetic syringe, rotary and hand instruments, tray setups, placement of dental dam, tofflemire matrix, health history and vital signs.
