Limitation on Enrollment: Enrollment in the Dental Assisting program. Corequisite: DENTAL-415, DENTAL-415L, DENTAL-425, DENTAL-425L, DENTAL-435, DENTAL-435L, DENTAL-445, and DENTAL-445L. Introduction to basic dental sciences and terminology to include the oral cavity, landmarks of the face, tooth morphology, general and oral anatomy, body structures and physiology, fundamentals of preventive dentistry and plaque control, nutrition, history of dentistry, the dental health team, and the state dental practice act.
