Catalog description
Advisory: Possession of basic computer skills. This course introduces theory, terminology and operation of a simulated and virtual multi-camera television studio and control room. Topics include studio signal flow, directing, theory and simulated operation of virtual camera and audio equipment, including switcher operation, fundamentals of lighting, graphics, video control and video recording and virtual video production. Additional topics may include: simulated lighting board operation, video signal engineering, multi-camera line switching techniques for live broadcasts. Students coordinate cameras and on-screen performers, and collaborate with production crew members and master control-room personnel, to produce, direct, and edit virtual multi-camera studio productions. In this course, students will master the art of multi-camera studio production with the aid of A.I. systems. They will explore A.I.-driven camera tracking, automated shot selection, and real-time graphics, ensuring dynamic and professional studio productions. (C-ID FTVE 135) Transfer: CSU
