Catalog description
Survey the history, structure, function, economics, content and delivery systems of radio, television, motion pictures, the Internet, streaming media systems, and other emerging digital formats. The study of the past and present socio-cultural, political, regulatory, ethical, technical, and occupational impacts of electronic media. Explore the past, present, and future representations of women, people of color, and other underrepresented groups. Examine issues of diversity, equity and inclusion in the media and entertainment industry. This survey course focuses on the evolution of electronic media, with a special emphasis on A.I. trends and innovations. Students will examine how A.I. has shaped electronic media content, distribution, and audience engagement. Transfer: CSU
